Boy George accused of 'chaining up' male escort

Singer facing charges of false imprisonment

Boy George accused of 'chaining up' male escort

Boy George handcuffed a male escort to his bedroom wall after accusing him of hacking into his home computer, a court has heard.

The former Culture Club frontman appeared at Snaresbrook Crown Court in east London today (November 24) to face charges of false imprisonment.

Jurors heard that the singer-turned-DJ, whose real name is George O'Dowd, chained Audun Carlsen up at his home in Shoreditch, east London, in April 2007.

The court heard Carlsen managed to free himself from the restraints with which George had chained him up, before he fled in just his boxer shorts, trainers and a pair of handcuffs.

The court heard that the pair had arranged to meet for a pornographic photo shoot, during which they took cocaine and the singer performed a sex act on the escort, reports BBC News.

However, George believed his computers at home had been tampered with and he accused Carlsen of being involved, jurors heard.

They eventually parted on good terms and agreed to a second meeting.

It was during this encounter, the court heard, that the singer seemed to "take matters into his own hands" and chained up the young man.

The case continues.
