Boy George found guilty in male escort case
The former Culture Club man kidnapped and beat up a male escort
Former Culture Club singer Boy George has today (December 5) been found guilty of falsely imprisoning and beating a man in his east London home.
The singer, 46, was tried at London's Snaresbrook Crown Court under his real name, George O'Dowd. He was found guilty of handcuffing male escort Auden Carlsen, 29, and beating him with a metal chain.
As NME.COM previously reported, Carlsen said O'Dowd had beaten him as he tried to escape from his Shoreditch flat after a naked photo shoot in November 2007.
During the case, O'Dowd had denied one count of false imprisonment.
The singer is expected to be sentenced on January 16.
