Boy George released from jail after serving four months

Singer had been sentenced for 18 months for false imprisonment

Culture Club singer Boy George has been released from jail after serving four months of an 18-month sentence for false imprisonment.

The frontman, real name George O'Dowd, was given the sentence in January after being found guilty of detaining male escort Audun Carlsen in his London flat.

He was released early from Suffolk's Edmunds Hill Prison for good behaviour today (May 11), reports the Daily Mirror.

O'Dowd is required to wear and ankle tag an obey a curfew for the next 14 months.

"guilty of detaining a male escort..."That's a very polite description...I was rather under the impression he was chained to a wall and had the shit beaten out of him with a metal barAll in the interpretation...

Boy George has been sentenced to serve 15 months in jail. The former Culture Club singer, tried under his real name George O'Dowd, will start serving his sentence straightaway. O'Dowd was found guilty of false imprisonment in December.
