Cult psychedelic rock band Brian Jonestown Massacre are set to release a brand new album, called 'Aufheben', on May 7.
Recorded in frontman Anton Newcombe's studio in Berlin, the album features appearances from original band member Matt Hollywood as well as Will Carruthers (Spacemen 3, Spiritualized), Constatine Karlis, Thibault Pesenti and Eliza Karmasal.
The album follows 2010's 'Who Killed Sgt. Pepper?' and will be the group’s 13th studio album. The title means 'abolish' or 'preserve' in German.
Brian Jonestown Massacre will be playing a number of UK shows in July, including an appearance at T In The Park on July 6. The band then go on to play London O2 Shepherds Bush Empire (July 7), Manchester Ritz Ballroom (8) and Birmingham O2 Academy 2 (9).
