Velvet Underground man joins Conor Oberst onstage

Bright Eyes teamed-up with Lou Reed as the Nebraska band launched their residency at New York’s Town Hall (May 25).

Dressed all in white and back by a 12-piece band also wearing white, Conor Oberstwas joined on stage by the Velvet Underground legend on two tracks, 'I'm Waiting For The Man' and 'Dirty Boulevard'.

Bright Eyes are now set to head to the UK for dates in July, along with an appearance at the Glastonbury Festival over the weekend of June 22-24.

The event’s bill will be officially confirmed at the end of the week (June 1), so stay tuned to NME.COM for news of who is playing.
