Conor Oberst performs at Iowa rally
Bright Eyes' Conor Oberst performed at a rally held by US presidential hopeful Barack Obama in Iowa yesterday (January 1).
The singer played a set that included the song 'One Foot In Front Of The Other' for a crowd of approximately 1,000.
Speaking about Obama, he told the crowd, "I met the next president of the United States earlier today," reports the New York Observer.
Oberst joins other indie rockers including Wilco's Jeff Tweedy and the Cool Kids who have recently performed in support of Obama.
Presidential candidates have been campaigning in Iowa throughout the holidays in advance of caucuses to be held tomorrow (January 3).
