Adele, Bring Me The Horizon, Arctic Monkeys nominated for AIM Independent Music Awards

Bon Iver, Frank Turner, Warpaint are also in the running for awards

Adele, Bring Me The Horizon and Arctic Monkeys are among the acts nominated for the AIM Independent Music Awards .

The awards, which are only eligible for artists who are signed to independent record labels, are set to take place on November 10 at Floridita in London.

Adele is nominated for two awards, firstly in the category for Best ‘Difficult Second Album’ where she faces competition from Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver, Friendly Fires and Toddla T. She is also nominated for Most Played Independent Act, where she will do battle with The xx, Arctic Monkeys and Vampire Weekend.

Bring Me The Horizon are up for three awards, Best Live Act where they will face off with Warpaint, Frank Turner and Enter Shikari, Independent Breakthrough Of Year where they are up against The Horrors, Caro Emerald and SBTRKT, and Hardest Working Band Or Artist, which will be between them, Frank Turner, Beardyman and Randomhead.

Bjork will receive a special award for her Outstanding Contribution To Music at the ceremony, as will Laurence Bell, founder of Domino Records, who will be honoured with a Pioneer award.

The ceremony will be hosted by BBC DJs Steve Lamacq and Huw Stephens.
