Mark Ronson wins Best British Male award at the Brit Awards 2008

Mark Ronson won the Best British Male award tonight (February 20) at the Brit Awards in London.

Ronson beat Mika to the award, who was hotly-tipped to take home his second gong of the night.

“I’ve never felt so British or male before in my life,” Ronson said after accepting the award from guest presenter Beth Ditto. “I didn’t think my chances were great. I’d just like to say thank you to everybody here.”

Ronson said thanks to a variety of people, and paid tribute to Amy Winehouse and late rapper Ol’ Dirty Bastard.

Newton Faulkner, Jamie T, Richard Hawley and Mika were also nominated for the award.
