Dave Grohl and co. beat off competition from the likes of Arcade Fire and Kings Of Leon.
“Thank you very much for the Brit Award,” said Grohl. “Best newcomer… Oh, it’s not Best Newcomer? We’ve been around for a long time and we finally got one of these. We’ll see you in the summer.”
Kings Of Leon, Arcade Fire, The White Stripes and The Eagles were also nominated for the award.
