JLS pick up British Breakthrough Act prize at Brit Awards 2010

JLS have been named British Breakthrough Act at the 2010 Brit Awards tonight (February 16).

The boyband beat the likes of Friendly Fires and Florence And The Machine to the prize, which was presented by Geri Halliwell at the ceremony in London's Earls Court arena.

The award was voted for by Radio 1 listeners.

"We never ever thought this would happen, this is beyond our wildest dreams," Oritse Williams explained, as the band raced to the stage to collect their award. "We love every single one of you," bandmate Aston Merrygold added.

The acts nominated for British Breakthrough Act were:

Florence And The Machine
Friendly Fires
JLS
La Roux
Pixie Lott
