British Sea Power guitarist Noble has given fans an update on the recording of the band's fifth album.
Blogging on Britishseapower.co.uk, Noble revealed that the band have written 15 new songs for the as-yet untitled album, which is the follow-up to their 'Man Of Aran' soundtrack (released in May 2009).
Noble added that Graham Sutton, who worked on British Sea Power's 2008 album 'Do You Like Rock Music?', is involved.
"We are well into recording and writing our fifth album, and have over 15 songs on the go," he wrote. "Graham Sutton (who mixed 'DYLRM?') has moved into the rented farmhouse where [vocalist] Yan has been living the last year and it's all coming together piece by piece. We hand over bits of the jigsaw and Graham puts it together. The overall picture is slowly emerging."
Elsewhere on the band's blog, Noble revealed that a recent tour to China saw them busk on the Great Wall and play a gig in a field full of goats.
