The teen queen is to appear on a poster for PETA - steady on, boys...

Britney Spears
is set to strip off for an upcoming animal rights campaign.

The teen queen will appear on a poster for PETA (People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals) that should appear by Christmas.

Britney Spears
agreed to take part after being slammed by PETA for appearing onstage at the recent MTV Awards in the US with caged tiger. At the time, the organisation wrote to her asking her to consider "the plight of captive wild animals caged and forced to tolerate bright lights, crowds and frightening levels of noise," reports the New York Post.

"A few weeks after we wrote her, we were sent a letter saying Britney Spears
had abandoned using animals on tour," a spokesperson for PETA said.

"She took our message to heart... We think Britney Spears
has set a great example of someone who listened to what we had to say and made a change."

Britney Spears
will also model fake-fur wear on the PETA site
