Timbaland offers to help Britney Spears
Super producer hopes to get star's career back on track
Timbaland has expressed interest in working in the studio with Britney Spears.
The super producer, who recently masterminded Number One hits for Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado, says he hopes that his good friend Timberlake will lend a hand.
"I feel her pain, it really bothers me," Timbaland told EW.com. "I'm the type of person who tries to save the world. I just want to take her away, go overseas, and work (it) out."
In recent weeks, Spears has been in and out of rehab programmes in Malibu, California, and her head-shaving incident and clubbing antics with celebrity friends have been highly publicised. She has not put out an original album since 2003's 'In The Zone'.
Timbaland said he asked Timberlake if he would collaborate with him and Spears on the project. Timbaland said that the pop star agreed to lend a hand, "as long as she was serious."
Timbaland added: "I just want to hold her hand. I want her to be in my camp, to be around Justin. I need Justin to talk to her. Help her, please!"
