Photographers arrested after highway pursuit

Four photographers have been arrested after chasing Britney Spears while she was driving Los Angeles.

The men were stopped on January 16 after a high speed pursuit of the singer’s car by members of paparazzi, reports BBC News.

According to the police, the cars were too close to Spears’ vehicle, were travelling at an unsafe speed and made several unsafe lane changes in the chase which took part on the city’s outskirts.

The men, Roberto Maciel, Leandro Gomes, Filipi Teixeira and Eduardo Ravalah each had to post a bail of $5000 before being released the next morning.

A police spokesperson added that officers had also stopped Spears' white Mercedes, spoke to the singer and then released her after verifying her driving licence.
