Britney Spears' father to maintain control of her estate

He'll continue to look after the troubled pop star

Britney Spears' father to maintain control of her estate

Britney Spears' father will retain control of her estate, a Los Angeles court ruled yesterday (March 5).

Jamie Spears has been looking after the affairs of his troubled daughter for the past few weeks since she suffered highly publicised meltdowns and was admitted to the hospital twice for psychological evaluation.

His conservatorship was to end on March 10, but the court extended his control until July 31, reports the Associated Press.

The pop star's erratic behaviour contributed to her losing custody of her two sons, [Sean Preston (2) and Jayden James (1). Her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, currently has full custody of the boys.
