Britney Spears to star in her own biopic?
Brit director Phil Griffin has is signed up to the project
Britney Spears is set to star in a biopic of her life, according to tabloid newspaper reports.
According to the Daily Mirror British director Phil Griffin, who has directed music videos for Amy Winehouse, has signed up to helm the project.
The newspaper quotes an anonymous source as revealing that the biopic will be "dark and gritty" and will cover the singer's recent troubled times, including her infamous head-shaving incident and the custody battle for her two children with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.
A shooting schedule or further details of the cast and crew were not reported by the newspaper.
