Singer says she wed for the wrong reasons

Britney Spears admits marriage was a mistake

More footage of a new Britney Spears TV documentary has appeared online, and the new clips feature interviews with Spears in which she admits regrets marrying Kevin Federline.

The 90-minute documentary 'Britney: For The Record' features Spears discussing her personal life, including the time she shaved her head and her whirlwind marriage to dancer Federline.

"I think I married for all the wrong reasons," Spears admits. "Instead of following my heart and, like, doing something that made me really happy…I just did it because...for just, like, the idea of everything."

Spears wed Federline in 2004 and the pair went on to have two children Sean Preston, three, and Jayden James, two. Just over two years later, Spears filed for divorce and Federline has sole legal and physical custody of their children.

As previously reported, Spears also discusses her life under a permanent conservatorship of her father, and admits she feels trapped in the situation.

The star is currently gearing up for the release of her new album 'Circus', which comes out December 2.

'Britney: For The Record' airs on MTV on November 30.
