Britney Spears' 'Circus' sells half a million in first week
Plus 12 dates are added to her North American tour
Britney Spears' new album 'Circus' debuted at Number One in the US this week, after selling 505,000 copies in its first week of release.
The figures make Spears the only artist in the history of Nielsen SoundScan to have four albums sell 500,000 copies or more in their first week, reports Reuters.
In addition to reaching Number One in the US, the record entered at the top of the charts in Brazil, Canada, Japan, Mexico and Switzerland.
Meanwhile, 12 dates have been added to Spears' North American tour, kicking off on March 3 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
