Britney Spears' manager sues the pop star and her parents
Sam Lutfi retaliates against the Spears family
Britney Spears' former manager Osama "Sam" Lutfi has filed suit against the singer and her parents, accusing them of libel and defamation.
The manager, who was once a friend of Spears, filed suit today (February 3) in a Los Angeles court. In the court documents, he explains his side of what happened, claiming that he urged the pop star to reconcile with her parents and acted on her behalf.
Meanwhile, Spears has obtained a restraining order against Lutfi on the grounds that he has been trying to "disrupt" the conservatorship she has been under which gives her father control of her affairs. Her family has also accused him of drugging the singer to maintain power over her.
In the suit, Lutfi is also seeking unspecified damages based on an oral agreement he claims to have made with Spears to remain her manager for four years and receive 15 percent of her earnings, reports the Associated Press. He also alleges that Spears' younger sister, Jamie, punched him in the chest for making what she believed to be a rude comment about their mother.
