'The Tracey Fragments' to debut at Berlin festival

Canadian indie rockers Broken Social Scene have provided the score for the independent film 'The Tracey Fragments', set to debut at the Berlin International Film Festival on February 8.

This is the third film score the prolific band has completed this year. They also arranged music for indie break-out film 'Half Nelson' starring Ryan Gosling as an inner-city teacher with a drug problem, and 'Snow Cake'.

'The Tracey Fragments' was directed by fellow Canadian Bruce McDonald and is based on the novel of the same name. The film chronicles the plight of protagonist Tracey Berkowitz (played by Ellen Page) as she searches for her brother who thinks he is a dog.

Broken Social Scene's rotating line-up features several notable Canadian artists including Emily Haines of Metric, Amy Millan of Stars, and singer-songwriter Feist.
