Bruce Springsteen denies affair rumours
Superstar reiterates statement he made three years ago
Bruce Springsteen has denied he was unfaithful to his wife, telling a New Jersey newspaper that he stands by a statement he made in 2006.
Springsteen was named in a court case as the 'other man' in the divorce of New Jersey couple Arthur and Ann C Kelly. In the papers, Mr. Kelly accuses his wife of committing “adultery with one Bruce Springsteen, who resides in Rumson, NJ, and Colts Neck, NJ, at various times and places too numerous to mention."
Today a representative for Springsteen told nj.com that The Boss "stands by the statement he posted on his website in August 2006," when he was accused of adultery in a separate case.
"However, due to the unfounded and ugly rumours that have appeared in the papers over the last few days, I felt they shouldn't pass without comment. Patti and I have been together for 18 years - the best 18 years of my life. We have built a beautiful family we love and want to protect and our commitment to one another remains as strong as the day we were married," Springsteen wrote at the time.
The star has been married to Patti Scialfa since 1991, and the pair have three children.
