A death in the singer's 'immediate family' forces cancellation
Bruce Springsteen has cancelled his show in Kansas City tonight (October 26).
The gig, which was due to take place tonight at Sprint Center, has been postponed due to a death in Springsteen's "immediate family".
"Due to a death in Bruce's immediate family, tonight's show at Sprint Center has been unavoidably cancelled," A statement on the venue's website SprintCenter.com announced. It added: "Bruce and the band deeply appreciate the understanding of our Kansas City audience and look forward to returning at the earliest opportunity."
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are scheduled to be part of the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame 20th anniversary show this Thursday (October 29) at Madison Square Garden in New York City, but a statement has yet to be released to confirm that the band are still playing.
