Bruce Springsteen continued his current run of live cover versions by playing Van Halen's 'Jump'.

The singer-songwriter opened his set at the March Madness Music Festival in Dallas last night (April 7) with a cover of the rock band's 1984 hit. Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello, who is currently playing in Springsteen's band, tackled Eddie Van Halen's guitar solo. Click below to watch.

Guitarist Steven Van Zandt was not at the show, leading to online speculation about his absence. His wife, Maureen, joked on Twitter, that he is "replacing Harry Styles from One Direction for a bit."

While touring Australia and New Zealand earlier this year, Springsteen covered songs including Lorde's 'Royals', AC/DC's 'Highway To Hell', for which he brought on stage Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, 'Stayin' Alive' by The Bee Gees, 'Friday On My Mind' by The Easybeats and INXS' 'Don't Change'.

The free, three-day March Madness event also saw performances from The Killers, Fun and Tim McGraw.
