Bruno Mars has responded to a recent lyrical attack from Odd Future's Tyler, The Creator by telling the rapper he’ll have to "wait in line to stab me".

The singer claimed that the rapper wasn't the first person to threaten him and that it was an inevitable consequence of his increasing fame.

In his track 'Yonkers' Tyler raps: "Stab Bruno Mars in his goddamn oesophagus". In an interview with Spin Mars responded by saying: "[Tyler] has to wait in line if he wants to stab me. [Tyler's] definitely not the first guy that's said something like that to me and he's not going to be the last. That's what comin' up is. You pick up some fans and a handful of haters along the way.''

Odd Future recently announced a three-date tour of the UK tour in July, which will take in shows at the London Electric Ballroom, the Manchester Academy 2 and the Birmingham HMV Library.

Tyler, The Creator released his new album ‘Goblin’ on Monday.
