Siren Music Festival to return to Coney Island this year
Astroland closure does not affect annual event
It has been announced that the annual Siren Music Festival will once again take place at Coney Island in New York this year.
The future of the two-stage event was put in jeopardy after the closure of the Astroland amusement park where it takes place every year, but today a press release confirmed the news that Built To Spill, The Raveonettes, Frightened Rabbit and many more will perform.
The Grand Duchy, Monotonix and Micachu & The Shapes are also on the bill for the event, which will take place July 18. More acts will be announced shortly, so stay tuned to NME.COM for more details.
The Siren Music Festival is an all-day, all-ages affair that typically takes place next to the famous Cyclone rollercoaster, which is all that remains of the Astroland amusement park after it was sold to developers late last year.
