The release is the dubstep and electronica artist's first since the 'Truant/Rough Sleeper' EP which came out at the end of 2012. Burial, the stage name of William Bevan, released his debut album, 'Burial', in 2006, following it with 'Untrue' in 2007. A series of EPs including 'Street Halo' and 'Kindred' followed, but the artist is yet to release a third LP.

In 2011 Burial collaborated with Massive Attack for the split 12-inch 'Four Walls'/'Paradise Circus', which saw the London DJ and producer remix two tracks by the Bristol-based group. 'Four Walls' was a previously unheard track, while 'Paradise Circus' featured on Massive Attack’s 2010 album 'Heligoland'.
