Former Bush singer due to hit studio

Former Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale is due to begin work on his first solo album.

The star is set to work with Lostprophets producer Bob Rock on the record.

Writing on his official website Gavin-rossdale.net, the singer posted: “We’ll do half the record in LA and the other half in Hawaii, where he (Rock) lives on the north shore. So has you can imagine I’m pretty excited about that.”

Rossdale also said that he had done the theme song for ’Drive’, a TV show on the Fox network.

Bush’s last album was 2001’s ’Golden State’.

Afterwards, Rossdale formed the band Institute, who released their sole album 'Distort Yourself' in 2005.
