Busta Rhymes' 'outrageous demands' lead to tour cancellation
The rapper's Australian jaunt is now off
Busta Rhymes has cancelled a gig in Sydney at the last minute after an apparent disagreement with promoters.
Rhymes, whose real name is Trevor Tahiem Smith Jr, was due to perform at Sydney Entertainment Centre on Sunday (October 1).
The promoters, PDA Touring, have claimed that their refusal of "outrageous demands on the eve of departure by Busta Rhymes' management" resulted in the rapper's cancellation.
Although unconfirmed, reports are claiming that Rhymes demanded more money for the gig, business class flights for his whole entourage and five-star accommodation.
The issue has been further clouded by reports that Rhymes had no intention of performing in Sydney.
The rapper was confirmed to support Mariah Carey on her current tour, a jaunt which includes a gig in Oakland, California on October 2, reducing the likelihood of him making both gigs.
