Busta Rhymes has been arrested on a drunk driving charge.
According to Sgt. Mike Wysokowski the rapper was stopped at about 12.40am on Wednesday (May 2) because the vehicle he was driving has overly tinted windows. Wysokowski then smelt alcohol on Rhymes’ breath.
He was taken into custody on a charge of driving while impaired. An arraignment is expected later today (May 3).
The recent arrest marks the ongoing legal battle faced by the rapper. In January he was charge with assault, and in February he was charged with driving with a suspended licence after he was stopped going through a red light. Also in that month his bodyguard was shot on the set while a promo video was being filmed.
Rhymes is tentatively schedules to go on trial on Tuesday (May 8) on two assault charges, reports Yahoo.
