BUSTED have decided to take a break so that frontman CHARLIE SIMPSON can concentrate on his side project FIGHTSTAR.
A statement from the pop trio’s record company Universal said that the band would “reconvene in due course” despite rumours that they may split.
Simpson, who is set to take his new band on the road this Friday (January 14), was thought to have wanted to quit Busted to focus on Fightstar.
The pop trio have had eight top three hits, including four Number Ones.
Fightstar, meanwhile, release their debut EP ‘They Liked You Better When You Were Dead’ on February 28.
