MANCHESTER UNITED!

THE BUZZCOCKS, Scratch Perverts, Llama Farmers, ALPINESTARS, I AM KLOOT, GOLD BLADE, ELBOW, ALFIE and SUPERSTRING are amongst the bands confirmed to play live at MANCHESTER's biggest ever free festival.

The D.percussion - Waters Edge Festival takes place at Castlefield Arena over the weekend of August 12-13, and sees the teaming up of two of the largest free festivals in the city - D.percussion and Waters Edge.

The event is being billed by promoters as the "biggest urban music festival the city has ever seen", and will feature over 35 bands and 100 DJs across five open-air venues. It is expected that 55,000 people will attend the festival over the weekend.

In addition to the live bands, DJs from local Manchester labels including Andy Votel and Badly Drawn Boy's Twisted Nerve, will join nationally-recognised DJs including Midfield General, Utah Saints, Bugged Out! and Rock 'n' Roll Bar.
