Video: Cage The Elephant - 'We Wrote Foo Fighters A Love Letter'
Kentucky quintet Cage The Elephant have revealed that they sent Foo Fighters a "love letter" at Radio 1's Big Weekend earlier this year.
Speaking to NME at the Reading Festival, frontman Matt Shultz revealed:
The letter went: 'Dear Foo Fighters, we're huge fans of your band. Sadly we can't see your set because our evil tour manager is making us leave. If we don’t do everything he says, he burns us with lit cigarettes on our pee-pee holes. We hope you understand.'
Luckily, fate brought the two groups together once more. Shultz explained.
We actually ended up bumping into them at another festival in LA. He said that we should do some shows together, and now we’re going to do some shows. It’s awesome. It makes everyone is our dressing room cry like a little girl with joy.
Cage The Elephant will be supporting Foo Fighters on their October US tour. You can watch our full interview with the band by clicking at the top of the page.
