Dirty Pretty Things out in force in London

Carl Barat’s club Bright Young Things returns to London this weekend (January 21) – and there is the prospect of hearing some material from his new band Dirty Pretty Things.

Among the special guest DJs at KOKO in Camden, north London are Barat’s bandmate Didz Hammond, as well as BBC Radio 1's Rob Lewis and Happy Mondays star Rowetta.

Among the live acts playing are Brakes, with frontman Eamon Hamilton giving his first performance after quitting British Sea Power to concentrate on the band full time.

Also playing are Bez’s band Domino Bones, The Holloways, The Cazals and Robyn G Shiels, who will be joined by burlesque dancers.

The Gallery Bar will feature 'My Rock 'N' Roll Wedding' with Queen Kitsch and Miss Standoffish, while The Lounge Bar will be manned by 'Night Porter' with Lisa Moorish and ‘special friends’.

Tickets are available from Ticketweb for £13, or it’s £15 on the door.
