Carl Barat plays solo gig supporting Glasvegas

Former Libertine and Dirty Pretty Thing plays in San Francisco

Carl Barat played his first solo show since Dirty Pretty Things split up last night (January 8).

The former Libertine, who has played surprise solo shows before, including one at last year's Glastonbury festival, supported Glasvegas at the San Francisco Popscene.

Barat played a nine-song set playing electric guitar. The setlist included songs by both The Libertines and Dirty Pretty Things.

Following the set Glasvegas played songs including 'Flowers And Football Tops', 'Daddy's Gone' and their cover of The Ronettes' 'Be My Baby'.

Carl Barat played:

'What a Waster'
'The Man Who Would Be King'
'BURMA'
'Blood Thirsty Bastards'
'Ballad Of Grimaldi'
'Music When The Lights Go Out'
'France'
'Deadwood'
'Time For Heroes'

I saw it last night, I am glad to see him. But it is a bit sad that his band no longer matters that much... I hope he writes better songs soon, unlike his second album.
