CASSIUS IS ALL WOMAN!

The French disco pioneer and the soul veteran team up...

French disco pioneer Cassius is to collaborate with soul veteran JOCELYN BROWN.

Cassius has been working on the follow-up to last year's '1999' album for the last few months. A spokesperson told nme.com that a new single, 'I'm A Woman' will precede the as-yet-untitled new album, which is expected to be released in the new year.

The single features guest vocals from soul singer Jocelyn Brown - who is best known for the single 'Somebody Else's Guy'.

In other French dance news, Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter has recently released a new solo single 'Together', through his own Roule label.

A spokesperson for Daft Punk told nme.com that the band's new album will not be released before the new year.
