Cat Power sets her sights on India
Plus singer set for London gig later this year
Cat Power has been blogging about her experiences in India, after she travelled to the country with a charity that provides clean water and sanitation in Asia.
The singer - real name Chan Marshall - has joined Scott Harrison, the founder of Charity:Water, starting off in Southern India and spending two days in Bangalore meeting with humanitarian aid groups working in the slums.
Writing a blog on her MySpace site, Cat Power also detailed the news of "the death of Ms Banazir Bhutto", after the Pakistani politician was assassinated on December 26 at an election rally.
She outlined her objective on the trip "to see...and film".
Meanwhile, Power returns to [b]London on January 27, playing the Shepherds Bush Empire. She releases her new covers album, 'Jukebox', before that on January 21.
