The indie-rock heavy 'Juno' soundtrack featuring songs from Belle & Sebastian, Cat Power Sonic Youth, The Moldy Peaches and The Kinks has topped the US Billboard chart.

Sales of the soundtrack got a considerable boost after the film was nominated for four Academy Awards last week, selling 65,000 copies in the week ending Sunday (January 27).

This is the first time a record released by 30-year-old label Rhino Records has hit Number One.

Moldy Peaches man Adam Green recently spoke to NME.COM about how their song 'Anyone Else But You' came to feature in the film.

Meanwhile, Alicia Keys' 'As I Am' slipped to Number Two, selling 60,000 copies.

Natasha Bedingfield made a strong showing at Number Three, moving 50,000 copies of 'Pocketful Of Sunshine'.

Mary J. Blige's 'Growing Pains' and Radiohead's 'In Rainbows' rounded out the Top Five.
