Former Catatonia
CERYS MATTHEWS has completed work on her debut solo album 'COCK-A-HOOP'.
The Welsh star recently spent seven months living and recording in Nashville, Tennessee and is set to release the results of those sessions in May.
'Cock-A-Hoop', said to be more folky than the star's work in Catatonia, features six tracks written by Matthews in addition to five covers, including a Welsh hymn, 'Arglwyd Dyma Fi'.
Other covers include Roger Cook's 'Chardonnay', a 1920's Louisiana folk song, 'La Bague', 'Weightless Again' by The Handsome Family, and 'All My Trials', previously recorded by the likes of Joan Baez and Nana Mouskouri amongst others.
A record company spokesperson said: "Cerys> is happy and healthy and very proud of the album. It has been a labour of love for her."

'Weightless Again'
