FROM 'ROAD RAGE' TO OLD AGE
CATATONIA's CERYS MATTHEWS has been involved in yet another collaboration, this time with 87-year-old LARRY ADLER.

Previously, the Catatonia singer has duetted with 60-year-old Welsh crooner Tom Jones on the jazz standard 'Baby It's Cold Outside' and 34-year-old Scouse indie pop merchant Tommy Scott of Space on 'The Ballad Of Tom Jones'.

The combined ages of Cerys and her recent singing partners is a very elderly 213 .

Last week, the Catatonia singer crooned her way through an old Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett hit - the ironically named 'Young At Heart' - for a new HTV series called 'This Way Up'.

She was backed by a 16-piece orchestra and accompanied by harmonica ace Adler.

Speaking at the recording, Matthews said: "Of course I'm a fan of Larry. You'd have to be deaf not to be. I prefer older men."

Catatonia make a return to the live arena at a concert organised by Unison, the public sector's union, at the Manchester Evening News Arena on April 28.

The concert is to raise funds and awareness for the 'Campaign For A Living Wage' campaign.
