CERYS TAKES FIRST STEPS BACK INTO PUBLIC LIFE

Yep - the singer is hanging out with H from Steps...

CATATONIA's CERYS MATTHEWS is out of rehab and enjoying the celebrity high life once again - with H from STEPS.

The pair went to the London premiere of new movie 'American Pie 2' together on Wednesday (September 5).

But Cerys dodged photographers by sneaking in 30 minutes early - and left through the back door of the Odeon in Leicester Square before the film was over.

Cerys, though, didn't show up for the free bar at the post-screening party in the West End's Titanic nightclub.

Catatonia career has been on hold since Cerys admitted herself to a drying-out clinic for treatment. Record company Warners announced that she was being treated for exhaustion and an asthma condition which had been exacerbated by smoking and drinking.

A UK tour was postponed and eventually cancelled, and promotional activities for the latest album, 'Scissors Paper Stone' were also axed.

Cerys will continue to receive outpatient treatment at a clinic close to her Cardiff home. She is due to meet with her Catatonia bandmates this weekend to discuss the group's future.
