Chairlift have announced the first details of new album 'Moth'. Watch the video for 'Moth', the first song from the album, below.

The New York band's third album will be released in January 2016 and is described in a press release as being: "an emotionally uninhibited and markedly stronger, more pop inspired body of work."

New single 'Ch-Ching' is described by Caroline Polachek of the band as being about “that moment of disbelief when you're confronted with a huge opportunity or stroke of luck, and you take it and run with it - pumped full of adrenaline, but you pretend it is business as usual. It's the kind of miracle people move to NYC for. The audition you didn't think you'd get, the lie that accidentally works brilliantly, finding a $100 bill on the sidewalk.”

The video for 'Ch-Ching' can be seen below. It was filmed along the bridges which cross the East River, including The Ward's Island Bridge.

Chairlift released their last album 'Something' in 2012. Since then they have collaborated with Beyoncé on 'No Angel', which appeared on her self-titled surprise album in 2013. Caroline Polachek also released a solo album under the name Ramona Lisa.

Patrick Wimberly, meanwhile, has produced and collaborated with artists including Solange Knowles, Wet, Kelela, and Tei Shi.
