Actor receives treatment in Los Angeles
Charlie Sheen has been taken to a Los Angeles hospital after complaining of severe abdominal pains.
The actor’s publicist confirmed the news, saying that the 45 year-old actor had had “an adverse allergic reaction to some medication.”
Sheen was taken by ambulance from his home following an early morning emergency call, reports TMZ.com.
His father, fellow actor Martin Sheen, his mother, and his ex-wife Brooke Mueller were with him at Cedars-Sinai Hospital.
As well as a 30-year career taking in roles in Wall Street and Platoon, Sheen currently stars in US TV comedy Two And A Half Men.
He is reported to be one of the highest-paid actors on television, getting $825,000 (£518,000) per 22-minute episode of the hit comedy.
