Cheeky Girl cautioned for shoplifting supermarket groceries
Gabriela Irimia detained at Sainsbury's store in Wilmslow, Cheshire
The Cheeky Girls' Gabriela Irimia has received a police caution for shoplifting supermarket groceries.
The singer was detained by security staff at a Sainsbury's store in Wilmslow, Cheshire yesterday (January 7) before attending a local police station, reports the Manchester Evening News.
It is believed the singer was caught with a large bottle of water, a salad and skin moisturiser.
According to the newspaper, Irimia claims she felt unwell while queuing with the groceries and stepped outside, where she was stopped by a security guard.
Although she was not arrested, she attended a local police station, where she was interviewed and received a caution for theft.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "At just before 2pm on Friday, January 7, Cheshire Police were called to a supermarket on Alderley Road, Wilmslow after a 26-year-old woman from Essex was detained on suspicion of theft of grocery items.
“The woman was interviewed by police as part of the investigation into the circumstances of the incident and subsequently given a caution for theft."
