Cher Lloyd: ''Swagger Jagger' haters make me want to quit music'
'X Factor' singer admits being a pop star is harder than she expected
The singer - who finished fourth on last year's X Factor - told BRMB that abuse from "haters" has taken her by surprise.
The video for 'Swagger Jagger' has received double the number of 'dislikes' on YouTube as 'likes', while the 18-year-old claims she has received abuse from "old men" on Twitter.
I don't think they [the haters] understand what they're doing to me. This is what upsets me a lot and makes me think I don't even want to do this anymore.
She added that being a pop star is proving harder than she expected, revealing:
I was delusional because as a little girl I thought I'd become a pop star and everyone would love me. I'm not saying I don't have the best life ever, but it's been so tough
Last week (July 28), Lloyd previewed a selection of tracks from her forthcoming debut album with an online listening party. The record features her collaboration with Busta Rhymes, 'Grow Up'.
'Swagger Jagger' was released on Sunday (July 31) and is expected to challenge JLS for Number One this weekend (August 7).
