Chris Brown's attorney seeks police records
Mark Geragos wants to know who leaked Rihanna photo
Chris Brown’s attorney has filed a motion to find out who leaked a photo of a bruised Rihanna to the press after an alleged beating by her then-boyfriend Brown in February.
Mark Geragos is seeking personnel and investigative records, saying that the leak was to vilify Brown and that he believes it was sold to TMZ.com for profit.
Geragos says he wants to find out who leaked the picture in order to discredit the credibility of police witnesses who may testify in a June hearing, reports the Associated Press.
Brown was arrested after turning himself in to police in Los Angeles on February 8 following an incident in the early hours of that morning in which he and Rihanna allegedly got into a violent argument.
Brown is pleading not guilty to felony assault likely to cause great bodily harm and making criminal threats.
