Chris Brown's Rihanna assault delay claim rejected
Singer will face preliminary court hearing next week (June 22)
Chris Brown has had a request to delay the preliminary hearing in his assault case rejected by the California Supreme Court.
The move comes after the singer's lawyer asked for access to police personnel and investigative records.
Brown, 19, is now due in court for the hearing on June 22, reports BBC News. He has pleaded not guilty to assaulting and threatening his singer girlfriend Rihanna in February.
He faces up to four years in prison if convicted of the charges.
