Chris Brown has been pictured being attacked by seagulls on Miami Beach.

The BBC says that the controversial singer, who was recently caught up in a Twitter storm after he responded to critics who were upset at the platform he was given at the Grammy Awards last weekend (February 12), was snapped being chased by birds shortly after he had been feeding them chips.

According to MTV, meanwhile, rumours that he and ex-girlfriend Rihanna have worked together on a new collaboration gathered pace after he wished her a happy birthday on Twitter.

The pair have reportedly joined forces for a remix of Rihanna's track 'Birthday Cake', with the track's producers Da Internz recently stating that the 'Talk That Talk' singer was planning a collaboration that would "shock the world".

Last week (February 17), Brown denied using a chat-up line that referenced his assault of Rihanna. It was reported the singer, who attacked Rihanna on the evening of the 2009 Grammy Awards and was subsequently sentenced to five years of probation and six months of community labour, had approached a woman and said: "Can I get your number? I promise I won't beat you."

However, Brown released a statement which read: "That is absurd and absolutely not true. I did not say that nor would I joke about that."

The singer attracted controversy last week (February 16) after he embarked on a Twitter rant in which he claimed that his Grammy win was the "ultimate FUCK OFF" to his critics, but was subsequently told by his mother that he needed to "grow up".

Earlier this month, (February 10), meanwhile, a US court rejected his plea to end his probation term. Brown has completed an anger management programme as part of his rehabilitation and has been praised by various judges throughout his probation, but Superior Court Judge George Lomeli insisted he should continue to regularly report to a probation officer in his home state of Virginia for another two years.
