Chris Brown has been accused of stealing a woman's phone.

NBC 6 Miami claims that the controversial singer has been accused of theft and is under investigation by the police.

According to reports, 24-year-old Christal Spann took a picture of Brown and the rapper Tyga when they were getting into a car outside a nightclub in Miami. Spann alleges that the singer told her: "Bitch you ain't going to put that on no website" before taking her iPhone and driving away.

It is unclear whether Brown is still in possession of the phone, but police have classified the incident under the offence of "robbery by snatching" and the state attorney's office is said to be preparing an arrest warrant.

RadarOnline.com, meanwhile, reports that the accusations could have implications for Brown's current probation sentence. He was sentenced to five years probation following his assault of his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, and earlier this month a court rejected his plea to end it early.

A source told the website:

The conditions of his felony probation are very, very strict. Chris must obey all laws and not be arrested for any other crimes. This could be a huge nightmare for the singer's probation if he is arrested and charged.

Brown sparked controversy earlier this week (February 21) when he teamed up with his ex-girlfriend Rihanna for a remix of her track 'Birthday Cake'. Domestic violence experts warned Rihanna not to become too close to Brown again, but the remix's producer The-Dream defended the 'Talk That Talk' star's decision to work with Brown and said her fans should support her.
