The girls, with their cover of 'Lady Marmalade', look set to take over the top slot in the singles chart...

GIRL POWER!

MYA, PINK, CHRISTINA AGUILERA and LIL' KIM's cover of 'LADY MARMALADE' is currently on course to knock SHAGGY off the top of the UK single chart.

Midweek sales figures show that the single, released yesterday (June 18) is currently outselling Shaggy's 'Angel' at a rate of two copies to one.
If sales continue like this, the track, taken from the film 'Moulin Rouge' will be the new Number One this coming Sunday (June 24), with Shaggy demoted to Number Two.

Other new entries in the Top Ten this week comes from Faith Hill, whose single 'There You'll Be' is at Number Three. Phats & Small's new single 'This Time Around' is currently at Number 14, while Linkin Park's 'Paper Cut' looks likely to break the Top Twenty at Number 17.

The only other band likely to enter the Top Twenty this week are Belle And Sebastian, whose track 'Jonathan David' is at Number 20.

In the album charts, Travis currently remain at Number One with their new album 'The Invisible Band', with new entries looking likely from Muse, whose new album 'Origin Of Symmetry' at Number Two, D-12, who are at Number Three with 'Devil's Night' and Faithless, whose album 'Outrospective' is at Number Four.
