CHUCK D BRINGS THE NOISE!

The [a]Public Enemy[/a] mainman broadcasts on beats, rhymes and life...

Public Enemy figurehead Chuck D has launched a new weekly hip hop radio show, accessible through his website www.bringthenoise.com[/b]

'Beats, Rhymes and Life: Hip Hop News Show' airs every Saturday at 9pm EST (2am GMT) and features the hip hop svengali reviewing hip hop news, discussing listeners queries, as posted on the site message board, and playing some of what he considers the best up and coming new tunes.

Said Chuck D of the programme: "A hip-hop news show is rare and I figured why not start it here. bringthenoise.com covers all of the other areas of hip-hop and rap programming, and this was the only void left."

The show is not the first to be presented by Chuck D on the site. Every Thursday he also hosts 'When The Shit Hits The Fans', focusing on the best of unsigned and independent acts. The show has also been dubbed 'Suitcase Radio' because he presents it regardless of where he is touring in the world.

A collection of hip hop's guiding lights of past and present broadcast on the remaining evenings.

Veteran New York rap DJ Wildman Steve presents 'The Hip Hop Spot' on a Monday, playing what he considers hip hop classics, 1/2 Pint runs through new underground tracks during '1/2 Pint's Hot Spot' on a Tuesday, 'The Strictly Hot Shit Mix Show' put together by DJ Kamron goes out on a Wednesday while '2 Angry Listeners' invites the site's average punters to review a selection of forthcoming tunes. Chuck D brings up the rear with 'The Countdown Show looking at the week's most popular hip hop songs.

All these shows begin at 2am GMT.
